Mixed Review for Cherish Farms

A beautiful scenic view close to mother nature with river flowing by the property letting you loosen a bit and enjoy the childness In you.. They have grown commonly preferred veggies and fruits getting you into realization of what we missing in our metro fast life.

The property have two bedrooms, one master room with a huge king size bed while the other rooms are with two single beds. They had a huge front room, kitchen with equipments, vessels, backyard with honey combo web and plants. If you walk through outside you shall find a stairs to the terrace which looks beautiful at night with the lightings.

They serve you homely meals asking your taste and spice level, we had a kid so mostly our meals we opted was a medium spice level , as they couldn't alter for every individual. There are more workers taking care of the entire farm, by the end of evening they were drenched tired and exhausted.

We were provided with life jacket if we wished to drench ourselves in the chilled water, dont go deep as within few steps it was over my height. They do not encourage us to step post evening near water section, so if you wish to have a camp fire set near water bank, don't raise high hopes it's not possible.

We were informed 12000₹ plus 18% GST which came approximately 13500 for 4 people and additions 2250₹ per head . There was supposed to be few more couple of friends to board to this trip , but after understanding lack of rooms few backed out . Honestly if it's a group or family for once we can still understand of all adjustments, but if it's couples dropping in you can't expect them to share rooms with others. Infact for that amount I don't think anyone would be okay to sleep on floor with extra mattress until it's a group.

Never the less, another off part was,  no barbecue,  they do have a machine if we need perhaps you have to bring marinated chicken along with us, which we initially planned but with the long drive we didn't wish to get a spoiled chicken. If we have come to a place where there is literally nothing around, it's better if they arrange these stuffs probably with the package or the extra charge.

The meal timings were fixed and they didn't like us having choices in our breakfast,(few wished for poha and few omelette). Our lunch was delightful and am sure we gulped more than regular diet, with the blissful chicken rasedar and two veggies, dal, chapati rice, papa, thecha. They did ask for night and suggested not to repeat chicken, instead choose their fresh fish from the farm. Since they served rest veg we requested for fry instead of gravy, they served one with spice and one less masala.

For dinner they closed all lid and left the bungalow by 9.3pm though we wished to have late as all were relishing on some drinks and the glazing night under the sky. We didn't wish to make the people wait nor wished to stuff in quickly after the pakoras and fish fry, we barely had space in our tummy.

They informed us we need to empty the place for another arrival and the breakfast shall be placed by 8am, which was Lil upsetting as non of us were early eaters. And repetitive reminder made it sound uncomfortable. Though to our surprise we all woke up by 6...6.3am and we were as fresh and alive,  surely it's the fresh atmosphere that made us feel light and fresh .

Being a farmside land it's quite normal for power failure, they have arranged a huge generator just beside the second bedroom. Since none of the fan was speed ever since we arrived we opened the window as got too lethal with the strong smell of diesel,  did inform the caretaker. We surely got a headache and pukish with the smell of it.

Roughly half of our day just passed by this frequent power failure and not much help from generator, by evening I guess they had to fetch to the market for some extra diesel as they were out of stock.

Somehow we didn't enjoy the weather as we had to shut the windows and since it was already humid and not much help from fan, we had to count on Cooler which made no sense missing the natural weather .

We were mentioned about boat,  but I guess they had some issue with it so we couldn't use them. We asked for bon fire they said not possible, until the main caretaker came and we requested for it again which again was a off.

We were disgusted with the whole road from the main road till the farm as our vehicle was not able to drive through the muddy terrible roads that not knly jammed our vehicle but had scratches. For once we even thought to turn back and skip the trip. They have to work on the roads, God knows how's it during the monsoon days.

Pros-
Quality time with your people
Live a life of a farm life (early wake early sleep)
Eat fresh food , grown from your farm
Childhood games to relish your old memories
River for drenching and being a water baby
Greenery and plantation all around
Close to Birds and fishes
Glazing the stars and the moon at dark night
Pet friendly (but they have two dogs)
Enthusiastic and cautious caretaker

Cons-
No fancy food options
No television
Terrible network
Frequent power failure,  the lady informed that there are times when the power didn't turn in for two nights and they were in darkness cause of no diesel, didn't understand why that, may be the management are unaware of this happenings.
No AC (cooler Is available)
Stove is just for show, it doesn't work
No microwave (since we needed to reheat at night while they were sleeping)

Summary- It is one of an experience one can try out for a change from our daily busy life. It's an indeed beautiful place with well managed property but we had a very mixed experience cause of few odds and didn't feel it value for money. We surely have visited other farm properties with more amenities.

If you are someone whose finicky about these things, make a note of the basics and then decide than repenting. Go with open heart to experience a different lifestyle altogether unlike our busy city life. We had company who disliked the trip and our choice of this place while we went open mind and no expectations so for us it was just another adventurous trip from our bucket list.
